World Children’s Day | November 2021

Help Family Centre turn the world blue and celebrate World Children’s Day.

Each year in November, Family Centre celebrates the achievements made to protect children across the globe. Specifically, the adoption of the Declaration of the Rights of the Child and the Convention of the Rights of the Child.

The United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child is an important agreement by countries who have promised to protect children’s rights. The Convention on the Rights of the Child explains who children are, all their rights, and the responsibilities of governments. All the rights are connected, they are all equally important and they cannot be taken away from children.

World Children’s Day promotes togetherness and awareness, while commemorating the decisions made to put children first and improve the welfare of children in every country. These advancements are close to the heart of Family Centre, as we are dedicated to strengthening families to create a healthier Bermuda for our children.

Join us on Friday, November 19th, 2021 by holding a Grub Day, Denim Day or a Virtual Event at your school or workplace!  We encourage participants to wear blue in recognition of World Children’s Day and tag Family Centre on your social media pages to show your support of children in Bermuda and around the world. Our hashtags are:

#WorldChildrensDay #FamilyCentreBDA

Your support will go towards Family Centre’s counselling services for children and their families. All children need love, support and care, and that is what our Counsellors at Family Centre are here for.  All services at Family Centre are free to families who need them. Your donation will help to make this possible! Please help us to support awareness of children’s rights in our community, and to ensure a brighter future for the children of Bermuda this World Children’s Day.
